How to Personalize a Finished Digital Planner

What this guide is for

A finished planner is ready to use, but it can still be adapted inside a note-taking app. The safest approach is to personalize a duplicate while preserving the order of pages that power the planner’s internal links.

Before you start

Steps

  1. Duplicate and rename the planner. Include a purpose or date in the name so the working version cannot be confused with the source.
  2. Mark the linked sections. Identify index, month, week, and daily pages before rearranging anything. Avoid deleting them until navigation has been checked.
  3. Duplicate flexible pages. Copy an unlinked notes, review, project, or tracker page and place the duplicate near the section where it will be used.
  4. Add a cover carefully. Import a compatible cover as a page and move it to the front. Confirm that the first linked tab still opens its intended page.
  5. Place stickers as images. Use transparent PNG files, resize from a corner to preserve proportions, and group repeated items in a reusable collection.
  6. Test and back up. Follow several links, close and reopen the notebook, then export a backup of the personalized version.
